Spades Strategy

Try to keep track of ALL the Spades played so you would know what Spades are still "out" (not played yet and held in players hands). Then remember when the high Hearts, Clubs, and Diamonds are played for your best chance at deciding what cards you have in your hand that would 1) take a trick, or 2) throw off - (intentionally NOT take the trick).

Learning to "throw off" cards which might make you "go over your bid" is a skill that is rewarded with Spades.

It can be easier when the bids all add up to 13, and more difficult when they do not. I have played with some dealers both online and off that will always make the bids "off" or not equal to 13, when they have the chance. They like to mess everybody up. Hey - it's a Strategy!
